CoinJie.com news: On-chain sleuth Zachxbt stated that the stolen funds from Gate users have been transferred to an address associated with the crypto custody and guarantee platform Xinbi: 0xff9c...35fb8. Tracing the flow of the funds will not help the victims. Gate’s official Chinese account said it has formed an expert team to assist users in tracking the fund trail, and will also help users file for asset freeze and recovery. It urged users to file a case and seek judicial assistance, and apologized to users for the customer service attitude.

Urging that a case be filed is the right move; on-chain tracking can only serve as support, and ultimately it still depends on judicial efficiency.

This address 0xff9c...35fb8 can be marked—avoid it next time you see it.

The customer service attitude issue was singled out for a separate apology—it was really hit quite hard earlier.

Forming an expert group is kind, but once on-chain funds are dispersed, everyone who understands knows the odds of getting them back.
