#WorldCupChampionPrediction

My World Cup Champion Pick Is Still France-Here's Why With the tournament at its peak, every team left can genuinely say they deserve to be here. A slip of the boot and a dream ends, a spark of genius and history is made – and this is exactly what makes predicting the winner so gripping now. I have analyzed every single knockout tie so far, and my top prediction for the World Cup remains France.

The squad France possesses has to be one of the most well-rounded left in the tournament – a great blend of experience, defensive solidness and game-breaking quality in attack.

Championship winning sides don't always hammer opponents in every game, they simply find a way to win, and France are demonstrating that trait. It is not going to be easy for them however. Spain have been impressive so far and possess the best defence in the competition to date. England look to be playing in a cool manner under pressure, and Argentina possess all the pedigree to turn the tight games in their favour.

All of these teams possess the capabilities of lifting the trophy if they manage to gain momentum in their favour.

I’ve learned over the years with previous World Cups, the form of the teams at present is much more important than any previous reputations. Some may turn up as the tournament favourites and bomb, whereas a smaller nation may grow as the tournament progresses and hit a rich vein of form. This is why I have learned to always have room to maneuver, despite having a preference.

If I am forced to make a final prediction today, then I am saying France just scrape their way to glory on consistency rather than outstanding performances. In the knock-out game, the ability to stay calm under pressure is often the largest advantage. Whomever wins the trophy this weekend, it has been a memorable World Cup so far filled with twists and turns and spectacular football, and it will all leave us wanting to tune in for the next one.

Who do you believe will be crowned world cup champions?

Are you with the pre tournament favourites, or do you think that we will be treated to an underdog triumph this year?
