Kimi Code offers top-up add-on capacity; if you occasionally exceed the limit, you don’t need to upgrade your plan.

Abstract generation in progress
According to Beating’s monitoring, Kimi Code launched an “Allowance Top-Up Pack,” allowing subscribed users to purchase additional usage separately. After users turn on the switch, once the original allowance is used up, the system automatically deducts from the top-up pack balance. If users occasionally exceed their quota, they don’t need to upgrade the entire plan immediately.

The top-up pack can be purchased on the Kimi subscription page. When weekly usage or hourly usage consumption exceeds 80%, the Kimi Code console will also display the purchase entry. Users can also set a monthly spending cap to control additional costs.

Remaining allowance can be checked on the Kimi web or App, or in the Kimi Code console. CLI users can query it by entering /usage. The top-up pack is better suited for users who occasionally exceed their quota, while heavy users still need to compare the cost of add-ons versus upgrading their plan.
