Crypto news: Wu Shuo learned that, according to miningpoolstats data, spiderpool’s most recent BTC block discovery time for its Bitcoin mining pool was around 11:58. Since then, it has not shown any new blocks for about 6 hours. Over the past 7 days, spiderpool’s hashrate is about 90.8 EH/s, and its market share is about 10.76%. Not finding any blocks for several consecutive hours may be affected by factors such as the randomness of mining, miners switching pools, mining-pool label recognition, or server-side issues. At present, no official explanation from spiderpool has been seen.

A lack of blocks for 6 hours won’t affect retail users, but payouts from mining pools may be delayed.

With SpiderPool at this scale, if it really is a label recognition problem, then other mining pools should quickly check themselves.
