BlockBeats news, July 10: AI writing startup Marker, headquartered in London and co-founded by former DeepMind creative director(s), has ended its stealth development phase and announced the completion of a $13 million seed round. This round was led by Index Ventures, with participation from Local Globe.

Angel investors taking part include Steve Newman, co-founder of Writely, Cal Henderson, co-founder of Slack, and Thomas Wolf of Hugging Face.
