CoinWorld news: NVIDIA is reportedly interested in taking an investment in power supplier Lancium. Lancium’s overall valuation in the deal is $7 billion to $10 billion, including the company’s debt. Lancium is responsible for the land and power supply infrastructure for Stargate’s Abilene campus in Texas. Stargate is an AI data center project driven by OpenAI, SoftBank, and Oracle, with plans to invest $500 billion in the United States over the next four years. Lancium is currently in talks with multiple technology companies to sell a minority stake, and NVIDIA has expressed interest. Previously, Anthropic had reached out to Lancium, but did not enter formal negotiations.
