Coinbase Chief Legal Officer Paul Grewal will step down and transition to an advisory role.

Gold Finance reported, on July 10, Coinbase Chief Legal Officer Paul Grewal stated in a post that after six years at Coinbase, he will leave the company and transition to an advisory role at the end of this month, while continuing to serve on the board of Coinbase National Trust Company. Paul Grewal said that during his tenure, he participated in driving Coinbase's listing, winning the lawsuit against the US SEC, moving the company from Delaware to Texas, and working to advance the GENIUS Act and the upcoming CLARITY Act into law.

Paul Grewal said that Molly Abraham will take over as Coinbase's new General Counsel, responsible for the company's legal affairs. He noted that Molly has worked alongside him on Coinbase's major legal battles for more than five years and is the right leader for the role. Additionally, Ryan VanGrack will become Vice Chairman, responsible for collaborating with global governments and partners to drive key opportunities for Coinbase and secure favorable outcomes for customers and the industry. Faryar Shirzad will continue to lead Coinbase's global policy team.
