European cloud service provider Nextcloud suffers major data breach

Jinse Finance reports that experts have disclosed that European cloud service provider Nextcloud left an unprotected database on the public internet, leading to the exposure of sensitive internal and customer data. Anyone with knowledge of the access path could retrieve this information. Nextcloud is a free and open-source platform that allows users to build their own private cloud. It is often regarded as an alternative to Google Drive or Microsoft 365, with its advantage being that users retain control over where their data is stored. (Techradar)
