ChatGPT and Codex have been merged into one app, which is expected to increase developer daily active users by at least an order of magnitude.
Previously, ChatGPT and Codex existed as two separate products—one a chatbot and the other a development agent. Many users were unable to transition from the chatbot to the agent. This product change will convert a large portion of users into agent users.
From now on, the Codex product no longer exists.
