US stocks closed with semiconductor, optical communication, and storage stocks collectively strengthening, LITE rose over 11% and ARM rose over 9%.

BlockBeats News, July 10, according to BIT (bit.com) market data, U.S. stocks closed on Thursday, with the Dow up 0.26%, the S&P 500 up 0.8%, and the Nasdaq up 1.3%.

Semiconductor stocks rose across the board. Arm (ARM) rose 9.20%, Lam Research (LRCX) rose 6.01%, AMD (AMD) rose 5.67%, Marvell Technology (MRVL) rose 4.99%, Micron Technology (MU) rose 4.52%, KLA (KLAC) rose 3.76%, Broadcom (AVGO) rose 3.20%.

Optical communications concept stocks led the gains, with Lumentum (LITE) up 11.13%, Nokia (NOK) up 8.08%, Applied Optoelectronics (AAOI) up 6.79%, Astera Labs (ALAB) up 6.18%, Ciena (CIEN) up 4.83%, and Corning (GLW) up 4.54%.

The storage sector also strengthened in tandem, with SanDisk (SNDK) up 7.59%, Western Digital (WDC) up 5.04%, Micron Technology (MU) up 4.52%, and Seagate Technology (STX) up 3.50%.
