Jinse Finance reported that on July 10, according to a source from Egypt’s security services, on the 9th, a delegation representing the leadership of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) held talks that day in Cairo, Egypt’s capital, with Egyptian officials, focusing on the implementation of the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement. The unnamed source said that, during the talks, a delegation made up of senior Hamas officials confirmed that they would hand over administrative authority over the Gaza Strip to the Palestinian National Administrative Committee and agreed that the weapons would be placed under the custody of that committee. The Hamas delegation also said it was willing to facilitate work for the peacekeeping forces and the Gaza National Administrative Committee, paving the way for the implementation of the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
