While Trump is busy with his Arc and Ballroom, China and Russia plan to destroy the US and Starlink.

They have been cooperating on military and technological matters. Since 2020, senior military figures and defence-industry leaders from both countries met in secret to exchange knowledge. Their shared goal, according to the documents, is to weaken American and Western military superiority, including by developing advanced weapons systems and possible ways to disrupt or destroy Starlink satellites.
Secret documents obtained by The Insider, Der Spiegel and Le Monde reveal a hidden military-technological partnership between China and Russia. Since 2020, military leaders and senior figures from major defence companies from both countries have reportedly met every year in highly secret gatherings, alternating between China and Russia. Participants were allegedly forbidden from leaking anything or speaking to the press, and at one meeting in Yekaterinburg in December 2024 even the programme booklets were not allowed to leave the room.
The leaked material reportedly consists of dozens of pages from PowerPoint presentations shown during several meetings. These presentations describe the strategic vision of both countries. The central aim, according to the article, is to break American military superiority. China and Russia allegedly describe themselves as a kind of Eurasian centre surrounded by maritime powers, mainly meaning the United States and, more broadly, the West.
The article explains that both sides have something valuable to offer each other. Russia brings battlefield experience from the war in Ukraine, while China provides technological support in areas such as artificial intelligence, defence systems and drones. In meeting notes from early 2023, the two sides reportedly discussed building a “next-generation weapons system” designed to counter ballistic and hypersonic missiles, weapons largely associated with the United States. This system would supposedly be able to intercept missiles at altitudes of up to 40 kilometres and distances of up to 4,000 kilometres.
There are concerns about an anti-Starlink alliance. Russia initially used Starlink in Ukraine, until Elon Musk denied Russian forces access, slowing down their offensive. Russia has since reportedly switched to a Chinese system using masts and drones for internet connection.
The article says that two Chinese experts proposed ways to neutralise Starlink. These included destroying satellites in orbit or disrupting their signals using computer viruses. According to the article, several European intelligence services believe different tools for this purpose have already been developed.
