Abstract generation in progress
Coin World News, Kresus has announced the launch of a new estate planning service designed to help cryptocurrency investors securely transfer digital assets to beneficiaries after death, without sharing private keys or relying on complex recovery procedures. The company said the subscription service, called Kresus Inheritance, is directly integrated into its self-custodial wallet and aims to address one of the biggest challenges facing crypto investors: ensuring digital assets can be passed across generations while maintaining user control during their lifetime. As cryptocurrency ownership continues to grow, concerns about long-term management and inheritance issues of self-custodial digital assets persist. Kresus emphasizes that self-custody gives users complete control over their cryptocurrency holdings, but the support infrastructure available in traditional wealth management has not kept up. The service is priced at $99.99 per year, allowing users to designate beneficiaries who can only access the wallet owner's cryptocurrency holdings after a predefined period of inactivity. Kresus also stressed that private keys are never shared during the transfer process, allowing users to maintain full control over their assets while they remain active.

Not sharing private keys is indeed crucial. I've heard too many tragic cases of families being ruined due to private key leaks.
