For the first time in the history of the FIFA World Cup, a record 48 countries are participating instead of 32 teams! This historic change is to spread football worldwide.
Group Stage: The teams have been divided into a total of 12 groups (Group A to Group L). Each group will have 4 teams.
Round of 32 (New): At the end of the group stage, the champions and runners-up of each group (24 teams) will go directly to the knockout stage. They will be joined by the 8 best third-placed teams in the points table among the 12 groups. That is, this time the knockouts are starting directly from the 'Round of 32'! There is no room for error, losing one match is a bye!
🏆 The Grand Finale
The final battle to be crowned the best after overcoming the obstacles of 4 exciting quarter-finals and 2 semi-finals will be held at the famous MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, USA.
