Some of you still don't really understand what an AUDIT means in DeFi

Let me break it down so your grandma could understand
When a protocol builds their smart contract they hire a security firm to review the code
The security firm reads every line looking for bugs and vulnerabilities
If they find problems the team fixes them
Then the firm says "we reviewed this code and here's what we found"
That's an audit
Now here's what an audit is NOT
It's NOT a guarantee that the code is safe
It's NOT a promise that your fund is safe
It's NOT a permanent seal of approval
An audit is like an health checkup. Not immortality
Think of it like this:
You go to a doctor. He checks your body. Says "you're healthy today"
That doesn't mean you can't get sick tomorrow
Same thing with an audit
The code was reviewed at one point in time
But if the team updates the code after the audit? The new code is unaudited
If a new attack method is discovered after the audit? The old review didn't test for it
If the contract is upgradeable? The team can change everything the auditors approved
Wormhole was audited. Hacked for $320M
Ronin was audited. Hacked for $625M
Mango Markets was audited. Exploited for $114M
Hope you get it now
