Today's $RESOLV long trade gave me quite a lot to think about. Not because of the +838.57% gain, but because the move from 0.01885 to 0.02211 was anything but smooth. There were several pullbacks along the way that felt like they could shake anyone off — without patience, it's easy to exit early.
The key was that after the dip, the price didn't continue to fall. Instead, it slowly recovered. To put it simply, the scariest moments are often when capital is rotating. I've seen this kind of price action before. On the surface it looks chaotic, but in reality it's just shaking out the weak hands.
I'm not treating this as a sure thing to keep going up. The worst mistake in trading is mistaking profits for proof of skill. I've already moved up my stop. If it continues, I'll let the profits run. If it starts dragging, I'll take some off. Getting one leg right is enough — don't turn a good hand into a bad one.
