Alipay has an extremely strict real-time risk control system; for logins from infrequently used devices or IP addresses, Alipay will forcibly require multi-factor authentication. Gate stated that the core risk exposed by this incident lies in the leakage of the customer's external identity information, Alipay account, and device permissions, which were illegally obtained and exploited by third parties.
