Storage industry ushering in a "golden three years"? This time, the cycle may truly be different!

Every technological revolution gives birth to a new core industry.
In the past it was the CPU era, then the GPU era, and now more and more people believe that storage is having its moment in the spotlight. Bernstein predicts the storage bull market could last until 2027, once again putting the entire semiconductor industry in the market's focus.
Why might this time be different?
First, AI training requires massive amounts of data; the larger the data scale, the higher the demand for high-speed storage. Second, enterprises building data centers not only need computing chips, but also a large number of enterprise-grade SSDs and high-performance memory to work together, giving storage demand sustained growth momentum.
In addition, the consumer electronics market is also gradually recovering. Smartphones, AI PCs, and smart wearables are constantly being upgraded, with local AI features becoming increasingly rich, placing higher demands on storage capacity and speed.
The supply side is also changing. After experiencing a trough in the previous cycle, manufacturers are placing more emphasis on profitability and being more cautious in expanding production. This means the industry can more easily maintain a balance between supply and demand, reducing the violent boom-and-bust cycles seen in the past.
Of course, the market will not rise forever. Price fluctuations, inventory adjustments, and macroeconomic changes will all affect short-term trends. But if AI continues to proliferate and global digitalization deepens, the storage industry still has broad room for development.
For investors, what really deserves attention is not just short-term prices, but whether the entire industry chain is still continuously upgrading. From the current perspective, AI applications are far from reaching their endpoint, and storage, as an important infrastructure of the digital age, is expected to continue enjoying the long-term dividends brought by industrial upgrades.
Every leap in technological development relies on data, and one of the core pillars of the data era is storage. #伯恩斯坦称存储牛市可持续至2027年
