On July 7, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning hosted a regular press conference. A reporter from Venezuela’s TeleSur asked how the earthquake in Venezuela poses a dual challenge to the country: on the one hand, it needs to work outdoors to save lives and provide assistance to affected people; on the other hand, it still faces difficulties in funding humanitarian operations, making international financial transfers, and importing essential supplies.
