LG Innotek will invest $1 billion in Haiphong, Vietnam, to build a new semiconductor substrate factory.

Mars Finance news, LG Group subsidiary, Korean electronic components manufacturer LG Innotek has obtained an investment registration certificate from the Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority (HEZA) in Vietnam, and will invest $1 billion to build a new semiconductor substrate manufacturing base in the DEEP C Hai Phong 2 Industrial Park within the Hai Phong free trade zone. The plant is expected to cover an area of about 33 hectares, with construction scheduled to start in the third quarter of this year and completion expected in the fourth quarter of next year.
