Inner Mongolia pushes to build a world-class computing power center cluster

Mars Finance News: In Inner Mongolia, some of China’s most important artificial intelligence companies are assembling and forming a world-class compute power center cluster. Tech giants such as Huawei, Tencent, and Alibaba, telecom companies including China Unicom, China Mobile, and China Telecom, as well as financial institutions such as Agricultural Bank of China, have all moved in here. Moonshot AI and DeepSeek are training AI models on servers in Horinger and other areas of Inner Mongolia, while Sinopec is also training its industrial large language model “Great Wall” here. Electric-vehicle manufacturers such as XPeng are also training algorithms for autonomous driving in these locations. Ulanqab, Horinger, and other places are located in the so-called “Golden Dimension Belt.” These regions are relatively cool and have abundant wind and solar energy—ideal conditions for compute power centers that require large amounts of cooling and power consumption.
