A guy who got a five-year sentence reduced to two years told me: if you use an iPhone and haven't enabled Face ID unlock, no one can get any data from your phone. The premise is that you have enough time under the "memory restoration technique". If you enter the wrong password around 10 times in a row, the phone will factory reset and all information will be cleared.

But if you use an Android phone, they might not even bother asking for your password and just brute-force it... Besides Apple, you can also look into Samsung's physical fuse.
