This short position finally paid off. The moment $TAO was pressed down from the high, I knew this wasn’t a normal pullback.

I opened at 270.4; the price has now dropped to 207, and my current return is +1132.7%. The most crucial part of this trade wasn’t whether to chase further—it was whether, when the high was under pressure, you dared to stand on the weaker side early. Back then, many people were still waiting for a dead-cat bounce to continue pushing higher, but what I saw was that volume kept increasing at the top without breaking through—buying power was clearly unable to hold.

What really got my attention was this: every time the price tried to rally, it struggled; but when it dropped, it was much more decisive. That’s when the rhythm changed. Holding the short until now, the market room for the move has already become quite clear.

I’ll handle it with an 80/20 split. First, take most of the profits; keep the rest with protection in place to watch whether it extends further. If you have a position, don’t let your gains retrace too much. If you missed it, don’t rush—don’t chase the trade, and don’t chase the low. Wait for the next more comfortable setup.
