Yesterday, I had dinner with a college roommate I hadn’t seen in a long time. The last time we met was in 2024. Back then, he told me his capital in A-shares was about 50k. This time, he said it had roughly doubled to 60k.

I quietly pulled out my phone and checked where big cake (BTC) was when we last met—around 50k. Now it’s still around 62,000.

Seems like over the past two years, A-shares have indeed performed better than BTC.

But based on past experience, whenever I feel the urge to move money into other markets, that’s basically when I start losing money there.

So I quietly suppressed the urge again and went back to eating barbecue.
