Been trading crypto for 3 years and still haven't made money? First understand these 10 things
People who've been in crypto for over three years without progress often aren't unlucky — their thinking is flawed. The 10 points below may help you change direction.
1. Small principal? One catch per year is enough.
If your funds are within 200,000, don't go all-in every day. Catching one major rally is often enough. Staying in cash is also a skill.
2. Without sufficient knowledge, don't rush in with real money.
You can't make money beyond your understanding. If you can't read the market, practice with a demo account first — don't use real money as tuition.
3. Good news landing is often an exit signal.
If you didn't leave on the day a major announcement was made, consider reducing positions on the next day's high open. The market rarely lets the majority make money easily.
4. Before holidays, scale back positions.
Often market activity drops, and the trend slows or falls. Reducing positions early is safer than toughing it out.
5. Mid-to-long term doesn't mean just holding.
Be willing to sell part when the price rises, and buy back when it dips. Rolling operations are more flexible than rigid holding.
6. For short-term trading, only trade coins with volume.
Only coins with active volume and chart volatility are worth trading. Coins without volume have too high a time cost.
7. Sharp drops often rebound quickly.
A slow grind-down market tends to have slow rebounds; after a sharp drop, a quick snap-back often occurs. #GUSD年化升至3.8%
8. Stop-loss isn't failure, it's survival.
If you buy wrong, admit it, cut and restart. Capital is only what gives you opportunities.
9. The simpler the short-term tools, the better.
Many people use KDJ combined with 15-minute K-line for rhythm judgment — simple is easier to execute.
10. Mastering two or three methods is enough.
No matter how many trading methods you know, what matters is finding ones that suit you and executing them long-term. $BTC
