WuSay learned that the Bitcoin Core Project tweeted announcing that Bitcoin Core v31.1 has been released on July 8, 2026, including new features, multiple bug fixes, performance improvements, and translation updates. This version fixes an issue where the chainstate database repeatedly rewrites large amounts of its own data during normal operation, leading to excessively high disk read/write load; it also fixes an IP address leak when using the -privatebroadcast function, where under certain circumstances connections are established over the public network instead of the enabled privacy network.
