CoinWorld News, artificial intelligence chip startup Positron is in talks for a two-stage funding round, aiming to raise approximately $750 million. The company focuses on developing energy-efficient inference chips for running AI models and is one of many firms seeking to challenge Nvidia's dominance. The first stage of the funding is expected to value the company at $3.5 billion, with the second stage potentially reaching around $5 billion. If the fundraising is successfully completed, the company's valuation will more than triple in just five months. Positron has a large roster of investors, including Valor Equity Partners, Atreides Management, and DFJ Growth, as well as ARM and the Qatar Investment Authority.
