Report: US semiconductor industry faces high-skilled talent shortage, expected shortage of nearly 160k people by 2030.

Golden Finance reported that on July 8, an employer survey analysis jointly conducted by McKinsey & Company, the American semiconductor industry organization SEMI, and the National Science Foundation showed that the nationwide shortage of high-skilled workers is becoming increasingly serious. It is expected that by 2030, the U.S. tech workforce gap is projected to be as many as 157,000 full-time employees. This could delay the construction of tens of billions of dollars worth of new semiconductor factories across the country and constrain future chip production.
