This short order has finally paid off, and the chart is straightforward. After opening a short on $NEAR at 2.5382, the price has been dropping all the way down to 1.8794, with the position profit now at +1841.67%. This is not luck; it's the release of momentum after resistance at the top.

At that time, I was not focusing on a single red candle, but rather on the multiple bounces that failed to reclaim the level, with volume unable to keep up, while the price was being suppressed. Many were still waiting for it to rally again. What caught my attention was the increasing overhead selling pressure—something was off.

I had already noticed this level earlier, and once the signal appeared, I acted on a bearish mindset. Now that the price has room to move, those with heavy positions can consider processing it in an 80/20 split—take profits on a portion first, and for the remainder, set a protective stop and continue to watch for extension.

When short positions are profitable, don't get carried away. Don't give back the profits. Those not yet in should not chase shorts, nor chase rebounds. Wait for the next opportunity.
