Hong Kong Animation and Game Festival will be held at the Convention and Exhibition Centre from the 24th to the 28th of this month.
The annual anime event, the “27th Hong Kong Animation & Comic Festival,” will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai from the 24th to the 28th of this month. Leung Chung-pun, CEO of the Hong Kong Animation & Comic Festival, said that this year the exhibition floor area will increase by 10% to 38,000 square meters, allowing 38,000 visitors—an increase of 7,000 compared with last year. There will be 201 exhibitors and 689 participating individuals, including toy design designers, comic artists, and others, making this the biggest event in its history.
He said that this year two new exhibition zones will be added, together with new ticketing diversion measures, to provide a more spacious and comfortable environment for attendees and deliver a better experience.
He pointed out that for crowd management, this year will continue to implement one-way diversion measures: visitors enter through Exhibition Hall 1, then proceed to Exhibition Hall 3, and then to Exhibition Hall 5, before finally leaving. Each exhibition hall can be entered only once, with no backflow allowed. In addition to the “Anime Festival Express Ticket,” there will also be tickets that allow direct access to Exhibition Hall 3, with the goal of effectively diverting crowds and shortening waiting times. He also said that with regard to ticket arrangements, a range of ticket types has been introduced to comprehensively meet the needs of different fans.
