⁉️ Why am I so bullish on Canopy?
A new phase for AI coding agents: they are no longer just autocomplete tools that boost efficiency, but are gradually taking on the entire software delivery pipeline.
Many development infrastructures are actually still designed for human developers.
Humans slowly read logs, click buttons, wait for CI, and handle errors — but an agent's pace is completely different. It can run continuously, modify continuously, and verify continuously, so the environment it needs is also different.
What I find interesting about Canopy is that it’s not just staring at whether AI can write code, but is thinking about
when AI really starts working continuously, how should the entire development process cooperate with it. This perspective is a step further than simply making a code generation tool. It doesn’t fixate on the single point of writing code, but on the potential change in the way software is delivered in the future.
It doesn’t seem to be serving a short-term AI hype, but betting on a new development paradigm: in the future, code may no longer be written line by line by humans, but instead humans set the direction, agents execute continuously, and the infrastructure is responsible for hosting and managing this process!
