Super typhoon approaching, multiple Hong Kong flights to and from Japan and Taiwan affected.

Super Typhoon Bavi is approaching Japan's Okinawa and Taiwan, affecting multiple local airlines' flights on Friday and Saturday.

Among them, Hong Kong Airlines announced the cancellation of two round-trip flights between Hong Kong and Okinawa on Friday, as well as the cancellation of eight round-trip flights between Hong Kong and Taipei on Saturday. In addition, flights between Hong Kong and Okinawa on Friday will be rescheduled to Saturday. Hong Kong Airlines stated that affected passengers can rebook, change destinations, or request a refund free of charge.

Greater Bay Airlines announced the cancellation of six round-trip flights between Hong Kong and Taipei and Zhoushan, Zhejiang, on Friday and Saturday. Affected passengers can change their tickets for free within seven days of the original departure date, or request a refund within 30 days.

HK Express cancelled four round-trip flights between Hong Kong and Okinawa on Friday. Four round-trip flights between Hong Kong and Okinawa and Ishigaki on Friday will be postponed to Saturday or Sunday respectively. HK Express noted that due to unstable weather, in addition to Okinawa and Ishigaki, flights to and from Taipei, Taichung, and Kaohsiung on Friday and Saturday may also be affected. Special ticketing policies will apply for flights to and from these five destinations. Passengers can apply for a full refund, or choose to change their route for free, or reschedule to within two weeks before or after the original date without paying any fare difference.
