Morgan Stanley predicts that by next year, US corporate spending on AI infrastructure may exceed defense spending for the first time.


Defense spending accounts for about 2.7% of GDP this year, while the annual AI capital expenditure of major tech companies will reach about 3.2% of GDP next year.
The US currently has over 4,000 data centers in operation, with approximately 3,000 more being planned or under construction.
