Hong Kong Economic Journal Breaking News - Current Affairs Pulse - Citi Global Volunteer Day: Participating in 30 Community Service Activities - HKEJ Website hkej.com
Citigroup held its annual Global Volunteer Day in June. The Citi Hong Kong management volunteer team worked with the Hong Kong Red Cross to visit a transitional housing project in Yuen Long.
Lung Mngrui, Head of Japan, North Asia and Australia Clusters and Banking for Citigroup Japan, as well as Xin Baolian, Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Region and Head of Banking, together with the management volunteer team, during the event helped prepare and install anti-slip strips in the common areas of a transitional housing project in Yuen Long to reduce the risk of falls for residents (especially the elderly).
In May, the bank’s volunteers took part in a total of 30 community service activities, partnering with multiple local social welfare organizations. Their service scope covered youth employment support, inclusive initiatives for people with disabilities, preparing community meals, and packing donated food for grassroots families.
