Japanese-listed Bitcoin treasury company Metaplanet CEO Simon Gerovich stated that the company's securities business subsidiary will officially be renamed to Metaplanet Securities on July 13. Gerovich noted that the company will combine the industry experience accumulated by the securities business team with Metaplanet's balance sheet and professional capabilities, launching new yield-oriented financial products for Japanese investors, marking an important step in building a Bitcoin-centric financial ecosystem. Previously, Metaplanet had announced the acquisition of Japanese securities firm Siiibo Securities.

Securities subsidiary name change completed, next step is to launch BTC-related yield products. Japan's regulatory environment is actually more friendly than imagined, Metaplanet has a clear first-mover advantage.
