Abstract generation in progress

Ocean Park Water World will host the "Beat The Summer" event starting July 4, with a new retro theme "Swim Like the 80s" this year. A new water-based retro Cantopop DJ party "CANTONBEATS" will take place in the Bay every Saturday and Sunday after dark. Each weekend, renowned DJs will present Cantopop remixes and golden oldies. On August 22, there will also be the "ASIA IDOL Wave Night," where multiple Asian idol groups from different countries and regions will hold meet-and-greet sessions and DJ performances.

Gacha Matchmaking on Saturdays to Meet New Friends

Even if you come alone and have no companion, don't worry. Besides the fun, the water park offers romantic encounters this year. The new initiative "Gacha and Find Your Pool" takes place every Saturday, giving you a chance to be matched by the water park. Before the event, go to the reception to draw a gacha ball, using the gacha method for pairing. Join "CANTONBEATS" together that evening with new friends.

Cantopop Atmosphere and Eating Contest Excitement

Along with the nightly DJ events, the Bay has a special Poolside Bar with a Hong Kong retro theme. To match the Cantopop theme, retro-themed drinks are offered. At designated times each day, a competitive eating challenge will be held—racing to drink soda and eat pineapple ice to win small prizes.

This year, the park has also set up new retro-themed "Swim Like the 80s" photo spots to decorate the water park. From the giant gacha machine in Coral Atrium to the third-floor balcony area, including Hong Kong-style retro café food themes, "Drain King" glow-in-the-dark art gallery, and many giant neon light installations. After the evening-only photo spots light up, the water park transforms into a wild "night" party venue. Complementing the retro theme, the water park also introduces a new online "80s Life Tri-Grid," an instant photo service for visitors to capture memories.

Water Rolling Machine and Intense Competitions

Besides the evening events, the daytime activities are also upgraded. Water SUP (stand-up paddleboard) yoga returns—on weekends, professional yoga instructors will be stationed at Wave Bay to teach SUP yoga to visitors. The wave pool will also have water volleyball and basketball, plus the new "Water Rolling Machine," allowing visitors to team up with friends for intense water sports competitions at Wave Bay. The Bay will have instructors at different times each day to lead visitors in water stretching exercises. In addition, Surf Pioneer will become a performance venue, with water park coaches giving two surf shows daily, demonstrating difficult tricks and engaging visitors in interactive games.
