The current bear cycle is noticeably different from previous ones. Since reaching its peak in October 2025, Bitcoin has fallen by about 54%, whereas in past cycles the decline reached 90%. Bernstein considers the more moderate correction to be one of the signs of market maturity, although it is still premature to talk about a complete end to the downturn.
The current correction has lasted about three quarters. Historically, major bear phases have stretched for 12-15 months, with price drops from local highs of 75-90%.

This year, large companies and spot Bitcoin ETFs have attracted a total of about $10 billion, compared to $60 billion a year earlier.
Net outflow of $5.5 billion from ETFs.
