South Korea's KOSPI index decline widened to 5%, Samsung Electronics fell 6%

Golden Finance reported that on July 8, the intraday decline of the South Korean KOSPI index further expanded to 5.00%, with a cumulative drop of over 20% from the June high. The Korea Exchange triggered a circuit breaker mechanism on the KOSPI index, suspending program trading. The decline in Samsung Electronics' stock price expanded to 6%.
