Strait of Hormuz attacked again, UK-France mine-clearing plan hits snag

Golden Finance reported that on July 7, after Oman approved the UK and France to help clear the southern channel of the Strait of Hormuz, another ship attack occurred in the strait, dealing a setback to the Strait of Hormuz mine-clearing plan being coordinated by the UK and France. Unnamed officials from the two countries said that their mine-clearing vessels and forces have already been deployed, and after the military command is issued, they can carry out limited mine-clearance operations in waters off Oman. Earlier on July 4, the UK and France announced that they had achieved a breakthrough at the diplomatic level and successfully persuaded Oman to agree to this escort and mine-clearing mission.
