Before losing my job, this was mine, this is what I wanted, this is a necessity, I would even take out a loan to get it.

After losing my job, at first I was anxious and fearful, but the longer time went on, the more I felt that so-called necessities weren’t that necessary.

On the contrary, after becoming unemployed, I had a lot of time to read books:

Political: *The Prince*, *The Book of Lord Shang*, *Discourses on Salt and Iron*, *1984*, *The Road to Serfdom*, *Animal Farm*

Economic: *Das Kapital*, *The General Theory of Employment, Interest, and Money*, *Work, Consumerism, and the New Poor*, *Manufacturing the Consumer*

Media and Communication: *A Brief History of Social Media*, *Amusing Ourselves to Death*

After reading them, I felt like I had been reborn. It turns out that all spiritual and material needs have been designed in various ways, constantly reminding you in your subconscious: this is right, this is wrong, this is what a real life should be like, and so on. So what you need to do is, when you see these things emerge, see through their essence at a glance, rather than being troubled by manufactured anxiety and desires.
