In May, China's automobile exports surged 68.7% year-over-year to approximately 930k vehicles.


This figure represents a staggering 1100% increase compared to the export level in May 2019.
Against the backdrop of pressure on traditional global automotive giants, Chinese automakers are leveraging systematic improvements in supply chain organizational efficiency to complete the takeover of global core automobile distribution channels.
In May, China's new energy vehicle exports soared 112.6% year-over-year to 424k units, with their share of total monthly exports jumping to about 46%.
In the rolling 12-month period ending in May, China's cumulative automobile exports reached a record 8.6 million vehicles.
In comparison, Japan, which has long held the top position in global automobile exports, exported only 4.2 million vehicles in the same period, a volume 51% lower than China's.
