This $EWY short position, to be honest, wasn’t smooth from the start. Those few pullbacks from the high were pretty scary. A lot of people thought it could push up for another leg, but what I cared about more at the time was this: after it surged, it just couldn’t get held up. The buying buzz was loud, but the price still wouldn’t keep moving.

Earlier, I had already been paying attention to the EWY zone. When it neared 198.58, I didn’t act impulsively right away—I waited for it to keep trying, and failing, to move through. The real change was right here: when it should have been strong but wasn’t, that’s the signal that’s easiest to overlook during the session.

Later, it moved from 198.58 to 178.63, and the short trade returned +246.35%. This wave was a psychological win. There were also pullbacks along the way, but the key was that I wasn’t shaken out by a few small green candles.

Now I don’t want to give the profits back, so I’m moving the protection level first and handling part of it in batches. For the rest, I’ll see whether it can continue to press down. If you missed it, don’t force a chase. The easiest time to lose money is usually when you get carried away after seeing others make profits.
