It is expected that the upside for domestic soybean meal prices will be limited in the near term.

U.S. soybeans are entering a critical growth period, with persistent high temperatures and drought in the Midwest intensifying weather speculation; coupled with improved export prospects for new-crop soybeans, the market expects increased purchases from Chinese enterprises. It is anticipated that CBOT soybean futures prices will remain strong in the near term, boosting domestic soybean meal prices. However, July's imported soybean arrivals are still expected to exceed 10 million tons, providing ample supply of soybean meal, so the scope for price increases is likely limited.
