“We are urgently producing 30,000 mobile air conditioners for the French market. Within a week, they will be gradually delivered to the market. Using rail and truck transportation via the China-Europe Railway Express, shipments of dozens of containers will be sent every week as planned to other European country markets, such as Germany, the UK, and Spain.” On the evening of July 3, the person in charge of Midea’s overseas air-conditioning business told reporters that the situation in which mobile air conditioners were in short supply during the unusually hot weather in Europe this summer has eased. At the same time, more Chinese air-conditioning companies are pouring into the European market. “At present, there are no fewer than 10 manufacturers preparing to sell mobile air conditioners and other products in Europe and looking to cooperate with us.” Xiao Youyuan, chairman of Zhuhai Sanyou Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., told reporters. He expects that competition in Europe’s air-conditioning market will intensify next year. (First Financial)
