The adoption rate of artificial intelligence in China's above-scale industrial enterprises has exceeded 30%.

The 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and the High-level Meeting on Global AI Governance will be held in Shanghai from July 17 to 20. Gan Xiaobin, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, stated at a Shanghai press conference on July 7 that the annual production of humanoid robots is expected to exceed 100k units this year. Manufacturing is the main battlefield for AI-enabled applications. At present, the adoption rate of AI applications among China's industrial enterprises above designated size has exceeded 30%, and humanoid robots have begun to "enter factories and workshops". Currently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is working with various parties to deeply implement special actions such as "Modulus Resonance" and "Humanoid Robot and Embodied Intelligence Real-world Training" to explore high-value application scenarios. During the conference, the China-BRICS Artificial Intelligence Development and Cooperation Center will release the "International Action Plan on AI Ethics Governance". (People's Finance)
