NC AI 'Barco Voice' Proves Social Value on International Stage

NC AI has demonstrated social value on the international stage with innovative AI technology.

On the 8th, NC AI, a multimodal AI specialist company, announced that its voice generation AI service, “VARCO Voice,” has been selected as an outstanding AI application case at “AI for Good Global Summit 2026,” hosted by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) under the United Nations (UN).

Chosen as the best use case in the “Innovate for Impact” category at the event, VARCO Voice features multilingual voice generation and sophisticated emotion expression technology. It is also praised for dramatically lowering barriers to entry that arise when creating high-quality voice content not only for creators and small businesses, but also for public and education sectors. This outcome reflects international society’s resonance with the company’s efforts to create an inclusive AI environment where anyone can benefit from the technology.

NC AI also presented “My AAC,” an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) app developed in collaboration with the NC Culture Foundation as a warm application of the technology. By applying VARCO Voice technology, this app provides users who face communication difficulties with natural, personalized voices, helping break down communication barriers. It is cited as a concrete example of how AI technology can be used to address universal problems faced by humankind.

Recognition for technical completeness also continued. At this event, all eight of the major AI models and services submitted by NC AI—▲VARCO 3D ▲VARCO Sound ▲VARCO Translation ▲Baky ▲Baky Agent, among others—were listed in the official publication.

Currently, NC AI is expanding its business areas along two main pillars: content AI and industrial transformation (AX). In the content area, it is steadily increasing multimodal generative AI application cases centered on “VARCO.” In the industrial area, it supports companies’ AI adoption and digital transformation through “Baky.” Recently, it has also broadened its footprint into the “Physical AI” field, where it interacts with real physical environments beyond the digital environment.

NC AI CEO Lee Yeon-soo said, “This result is a meaningful milestone showing that our technology can substantially improve people’s lives in real terms,” adding that, “We will take the lead in building an inclusive industrial AI ecosystem so that everyone can use high-quality AI easily and conveniently.”
