Daehan Cable announced on the 8th that it has won a contract for the AI Data Center (AIDC) power grid construction project ordered by Transgrid, Australia's largest transmission power authority.

The project, valued at approximately 45 billion KRW, aims to build infrastructure to stably supply large-scale electricity to an AIDC under construction in Australia.

In this project, Daehan Cable will carry out a turnkey approach, taking full responsibility for the entire process from design of the 330kV ultra-high voltage cable system to engineering, construction, and site management. Since AIDCs require uninterrupted 24/7 operation, securing a highly stable power grid is considered a key factor in the project's success.

Behind this order lies Daehan Cable’s unrivaled technological expertise in the ultra-high voltage cable sector.

Based on its accumulated project execution experience in Oceania, Daehan Cable competed with prominent global companies and was selected as the final qualified bidder. In particular, its successful completion of the 330kV 'Powering Sydney’s Future' project for expanding Sydney's power grid and the 500kV underground cable project—Australia's highest voltage level—appears to have played a decisive role in this contract.

Daehan Cable plans to use this Australian project as a stepping stone to further strengthen its attack on the global AIDC power grid market. With the credibility built through projects covering various voltage levels from 132kV to 500kV in Australia and New Zealand, the likelihood of additional orders is considered high.

A Daehan Cable official emphasized, "AIDCs require high-level technical expertise as the reliability of power supply is directly tied to service operations. This contract will serve as an opportunity to expand our share in the high-value-added power infrastructure market and solidify our global competitiveness."
