Golden Finance reported that on July 8, the local government of Hormozgan Province in southern Iran stated that as of now, no reports have been received of any civilian casualties caused by the US attack. The US Central Command said on social media on July 7 that the US military had begun a "series of powerful" strikes against Iran in response to Iran's previous attack on three commercial ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
