CoinWorld News, three insiders revealed that U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth plans to make his first visit to Israel since taking office this Wednesday. It is currently unclear whether the visit will be affected by the latest round of U.S. airstrikes against Iran. Sources said Hegseth is expected to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, with the visit aimed at easing Israeli concerns over a potential U.S. sale of F-35 stealth fighters to Turkey. Trump raised this idea during a NATO summit. Netanyahu previously stated that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is "not a model ally of the United States." Israel is currently the only country in the Middle East equipped with F-35 fighter jets.
