Waller Says Fed Will Not Keep Rates Low to Finance Fiscal Deficit

Fed Governor Christopher Waller said the Federal Reserve will not deliberately keep interest rates low to help the U.S. government finance its fiscal deficit. Waller said considering an inflation target range is reasonable. Fed Chair Warsh said adjusting the inflation target at this stage would undermine the Fed's credibility.
